Davide Marinelli

Founder / creative director

Davide Marinelli, born in the south of Italy and New York resident since 2002, is the Founder of Davide Hair Studio whose classical training extends from some of the finest New York City to Italian salons. His work has been featured on the runways of New York Fashion Week for designers such as Jason Wu, Theory, Monique Lhuillier, Cartier, Jasmine Chong and Robert James. 

For the past several seasons, Davide has been part of the Oribe Education team backstage at high profile fashion shows such as Brandon Maxwell, Sally Lapointe, Edun, R13 Denim, A Détacher, and The Blonds. Davide has also worked for NY Men’s Week with the Oribe team on shows such as Cadet, Chapter, David Hart and J Linderberg.

Having worked with top modeling agencies in NYC in addition to his celebrity clients, Davide uses his editorial experiences to create red carpet hair. His derives inspiration from his travels and exposure to different cultures, history, fashion, and New York City. His passion and dedication to the hair industry drives him to never miss an opportunity to learn new tricks or share his skills with his peers, whether in the salons as an Oribe educator, or on tour with Oribe Haircare ateliers. Hairdressing is Davide’s creative outlet. His styles range from technically precise bobs to sexy long layers, men’s cuts, sleek and bouncy blowouts, effortless Updo’s and Balayage color technique. When Davide is not traveling or inspiring and educating stylists, he works with clients to create customized looks that compliment their lifestyle and hair type, delivering their sought-after image in his new salon, Davide Hair Studio in NYC
